I had Interior Solutions remodel my kitchen and bathroom, and do various drywall & HVAC repairs, and I would definitely recommend Dave and Joe. After talking with a couple other companies, I found that their pricing was reasonable and transparently itemized. It was easy to iterate on the initial scope with Dave until I was comfortable and satisfied with the scope of work and budget. I did find it could be difficult to get in touch with Dave at the beginning as they’re very busy, but I found phone calls work best, and he’s very responsive during the construction phase. The quality of their work is great, and importantly, they stayed on time and on budget. Dave quoted me 4 to 6 weeks for actual construction time, and it was 6 weeks, with a couple gaps in work while waiting for cabinet and countertop deliveries. Change orders that happened during construction were also clear and fair. The final result is what I wanted, and I would definitely use them again for future projects. (Plus Joe ran over to help my neighbor who had started a cooking fire while he was here working!)
We used Interior solutions for a Kitchen remodel this past summer and couldn’t be happier. Dave recommended a cabinet company (BKC) and we used them for all the design and purchased cabinets through them. They coordinated the delivery and installation together and everything went seamlessly. The electrical, plumbing, and finishes are spot on and we receive compliments on all aspects of our remodel. Both Dave and Joe have great personalities and were never too busy to answer questions or reply to text messages. There were no surprises and his countertop fabricator did a phenomenal job and the best price for quartz. They cleaned up every day, even though I mentioned to them they didn’t necessarily need to for certain parts of the job as we wouldn’t be home much. We noticed a few things a few months after the job was completed, and we contacted Dave and he didn’t hesitate to come out and make things perfect. Highly recommend!

We decided a few years ago to replace our 40+ year-old kitchen cabinets and 20+ year-old formica counters, but found the process of shopping for cabinets and obtaining estimates for installation MUCH more complex and frustrating than expected. Cabinet sellers would give us estimates for cabinets and counters, but refuse or be unable to give us an estimate for installation. One cabinet supplier gave me the name of the installer, but, despite repeated calls and conversations, he never bothered to give me an estimate. I gave up for quite a while. Last year, I decided to give it another try, and contacted several cabinet sellers, including BKC Kitchen and Bath in Englewood. That proved to be a very smart move. BKC’s salesperson, Pete Von Esten, was extremely helpful, patient, and responsive. I contacted BKC because they sell a brand of cabinets, Crystal, that I had identified to be a solid brand. Pete was very helpful in explaining the pros and cons of framed versus frameless cabinets, and in clarifying the features of and differences between the somewhat less expensive Crystal Current line and the more expensive Crystal Keyline or Encore. Pete won my confidence when he did not try to “up-sell” me, but forthrightly recommended, given the style and finish we sought, we go with the less expensive Current line, which is very well constructed and could be upgraded with more plywood, etc., at a modest additional cost.
Pete won our business thanks to: (1) his honesty, courtesy, and patience in preparing repeatedly revised plans based upon our decision to go with replacement of soffits and taller cabinets extending to the ceiling; (2) his recommendation, when I asked him for the name of a contractor he recommends, that I contact Dave Ricard at Interior Solutions.
To my relief, Dave, though very busy, responded as quickly as possible to my request he come by and give us an estimate, gave us an estimate in short order, and readily adjusted it when we decided to add removal of soffits, “drywalling”, and “taping” where the soffits had been, as well as “can” ceiling lights in lieu of suspended fixtures.
Dave is (for good reason) very busy, and we ourselves had travel plans that fell when he was first available, so it was necessary to wait several months before going ahead with the job. Nailing down a date took some time and persistence, but Dave showed up when he said he would, in late April. Dave and his assistant, Joe, very quickly won our confidence and affection. Dave and Joe are very personable, but also very hard-working, efficient, and meticulous. They maintained a clean and orderly work site, putting down mats or putting up plastic sheeting to protect our house from debris or dust. Dave readily worked with us to add several additional ceiling “can” LED lights as well as under-cabinet LED lights, which required considerable additional rewiring and time, at significant but reasonable additional cost. They consistently showed up when expected, and never left us uninformed about next steps or “hanging”.
The only glitches in the process were not Dave’s fault. The Cambria quartz slabs Dave had ordered via his preferred counter fabricator arrived at the fabricator’s shop with a scratch in the surface. Rather than just polish the surface and foist the counters on us (something to which we would have been none the wiser), Dave insisted on replacement of the slab, even though that would delay completion of the project, because polishing of the surface instead of replacement would void the warranty. When it turned out that we faced a minor glitch because not enough “scribe molding” had accompanied the cabinets, Dave and Pete agreed that BKC’s tech would install it when it came in. BKC’s tech did so after Dave’s work was done, along with door restrictors.
In sum (although we hope never to again remodel a kitchen), we would not hesitate to ask Dave to do the work. We could not have been more pleased, and relieved, at the efficiency, meticulousness, and quality of his work. Outstanding!
We have lived in Cherry Creek for over 10 years and we have used Interior Solutions for a number of projects including a Master Bath Remodel and redesigning our Family Room, ETC. Interior Solutions worked with us on our kitchen remodel, and they were fantastic. Our remodel happened in the midst of the pandemic, and they completely screened off the work area from our living area so that we could continue to work at home and our daughter could engage in remote learning from home. They fully cleaned up after themselves everyday, storing tools and sweeping up so that I was never worried about my daughter getting into something dangerous or stepping on a nail in bare feet. It certainly wasn’t easy to live through a pandemic remodel, but Dave and Joe’s consideration of our family’s needs made it possible.
In addition to a cosmetic remodel of our cabinets, backsplash and lighting, we had several “old-house” issues that they addressed. They re-routed our sink drain that had broken and worked with us to do so in the most cost-effective and time-efficient way possible. They moved existing windows, installed additional windows, and closed exterior gaps to keep out the cold and the critters. Dave and Joe did beautiful work and paid close attention to all of the small details of the job. By the time we were reaching the end of the project, Dave asked us for a punch list. Because they had done such complete work throughout the job, the list was quite short – completed in just a couple of hours. Dave did a great job managing the project, and he really listened to all of our ideas and concerns. He was a great sounding board for our ideas, honest about what would and wouldn’t work, and he made excellent recommendations that were rooted in his deep experience in the business.
Dave also fully stands behind his work. As mentioned above, we had major issues with cold and critters coming in before our remodel. During the first really cold night of the year, our kitchen pipes ended up freezing. Dave and Joe came immediately, tore out the new drywall that they had installed a few months earlier, re-routed the supply line, and put up new drywall – all at no expense to us. They had previously re-insulated the entire line, and since our job happened in late August, they had no way to know that the cold air would find a new way into the house, but still stood behind their work fully.
Finally, Dave and Joe are really nice people. They were great with our special needs daughter and our dogs (who especially loved having them there working everyday). We have additional projects that will need to be completed in our old house as budget allows, and I am so grateful to know who we will call.
